Controlled Source Audio-Frequency Magnetotellurics
CSAMT (Controlled Source Audio Magneto Tellurics)
is a relatively modern electromagnetic technique, which can give
high resolution and significant penetration depth. Elliott Geophysics
has completed a number of CSAMT surveys in Indonesia and Papua New
Guinea. We have the equipment required to collect data in the field,
and a full facility based in Jakarta for processing data through
to it's final stages, including resistivity-depth sections.

In the last three years Elliott Geophysics has successfully
completed surveys for copper-gold bearing porphyry intrusives, and
for gold bearing quartz veins. Porphyry intrusives can be detected
at depth of hundreds of metres, providing deep drilling targets.
Quartz veins show up as narrow resistive features at variable depths.
Due to steep terrain in Indonesia, data often needs
to be static corrected. We can do this for you. Why not try Bostick
Depth Section in full colour ? The target zones stand out much better.
MT/AMT (Magneto-Tellurics & Audio-Magneto-Tellurics)
- For deeper penetration, EGI can provide an MT & AMT survey.
This helps with basin studies and developing a structural setting
for oil exploration.
